VIDEO: Field Studies

A terrific group of two dozen 7th graders from The Dorset School are wrapping up their two-week field studies program. Tomorrow they’ll be delivering group presentations on various aspects of environmental sciences that they explored. While the weather and technology weren’t as cooperative during these past two weeks as we might have liked, the students, instructors, and invited guest speakers did a wonderful job taking education out of the books and into the field.

What we hear...

“[The student] has made significant gains in reading. Her MAP reading score in September was 156 and on the first percentile. We have just finished our spring testing and she is now on the 45th percentile with a score of 188. She is now performing at grade level. All around, she is much happier and confident. Her parents and I can see a big difference in attitude.”
