Act Local: Quick Civics Session at TTC Manchester

untitled184A9814-3-EditOn Sunday February 5th, 2017 Tutorial Center instructor and Vermont House Representative, Robin Chestnut Tangerman, will lead a relaxed discussion on how Vermonters can best work with, and within, their local and state governments.

The community, staff and students are showing a renewed interest in the way governments operate—from town boards to the Oval Office. The Tutorial Center is happy to provide this opportunity for civic engagement. Our current High School Completion students are encouraged to attend as part of your on-going lessons in civics.

The session will touch on the mechanics of how laws and regulations are adopted within our state, along with how to make your voice heard with elected officials.

This is a non-partisan event. All perspectives are welcome and will be respected. Bring your enthusiasm and questions!

Let us know you’re coming on our Facebook Event Page!

What we hear...

“I had my first child at the age of 14. I recently graduated from Bridge to College and am currently working full-time on an Associate’s Degree in Business. Thank you so much, Tutorial Center, for having made this opportunity available. To anyone else for whom this chance comes along, take it. You will not regret it.”
